I seriously disagree about submissions. Obviously they are less exciting but equally as effective. If someone breaks your arm in a fight, you're not gonna be doing a whole lot. Same with choking you out, if someone gets you in a good choke, or armbar, you are in pain and you're not in a position to do much damage to them.

Trust me there are really fast ways out. One free hand and the human eye only take 12 pounds of pressure to break.
