Midnight would have been fair, but you have to consider that Americans don't know either of these guys and if they want to capture fans on this side of the pond it has to be done at an inconvenience to them. Just like Joe Calzaghe's intro to the US it has to be done when people are all done with whatever they're doing and want to do nothing more than just plop down on the couch in front of the boob tube.
If they fight to impress, we'll be hooked. Then the next time they can fight on a Wednesday at 3 in the morning and we'll tune in. Think of these guys as door-to-door salesmen. Are you going to come to my house while I'm still at work or out running errands? When I'm sound asleep? Or are you going to knock on my door when you have a relatively good idea of when I'm home, relaxed and have pretty much nothing else to do anyway?
If I'm not mistaken, this is the first time for both men to be on a major network in the US. If they've been on before it was nowhere near the level of visibility of this one and let's face it, this is where the money is in boxing (for now).
