Jim Lampley: Alright we are here with the man that could potentially the next opponent for Oscar Delahoya Floyd it's nice to have you with us tonight.
Floyd Mayweather: (holds his smile for 5 seconds as Lampley talks)
Jim Lampley: Floyd... how did Oscar look tonight and how do you think a fight with you two would go? Is Oscar an opponent that interests you.
Floyd Mayweather: yes its a fight that would interest me.. but after tonight, I'm even more sure that I could beat De La Hoya.
Jim Lampley: *nervous smile* really... what would make you say that?
Floyd Mayweather: well, after tonight, it would be even easier work for me. Because, he really didn't fight anybody, he fought a guy that was off for a year that had a title handed to him.. that wasn't even really a title.
Jim Lampley: *sweating bullets* but Floyd.. the risk of Ricardo Mayorga.. he picked him for the risk...
Floyd Mayweather: but Delahoya didn't want to fight Roman, or Vargas or anyone else that are more of a risk, he picked a guy that had the belt handed to him by Don King, and was off for a year and never defended it. Delahoya did what he was supposed to do tonight. If Mayorga had ben in front of me it wouldn't have taken me this long to beat him.
Jim Lampley: but you have to credit De La Hoya for his performance he stopped a guy that had only been truly stopped once.
Floyd Mayweather: Mayorga is a wide guy he..he..he has a style that somebody like Oscar De la Hoya you HOPE could at least look decent against, this belt was handed to him the same way the belt was handed to Gatti when he fought Branco.. the problem is Gatti looks bad against other C+ Fighters. Oscar is an B- fighter and he is made to look spectacular against a C- minus fighter like Mayorga.
Jim Lampley *stuttering* but the accuracy.. of Oscar's punches..
Floyd Mayweather: Mayorga has no defense Jim. He has no defense, and Oscar was still missing shots and Mayorga's shots are so wide that he can't his Oscar in between, if Oscar threw that same kind of shots against me I would catch him in between every miss, and the only time mayorga threw a straight shot was that uppercut and you saw what it did to oscar, I would hand that often and frequent, he also got to De La Hoya's body relatively easy. There's a lot that De la Hoya didn't do, and he would have been easy work for me had I been in there with him.
Jim Lampley *motioning to the camera man to cut the broadcast*
Floyd Mayweather: What's wrong? Am I effecting your hyping a fight, It's an easy win for me, Pretty Boy Floyd aint nothin but the truth and as soon as my hand heals I'll be sure to prove it
*broadcast cuts off*
