    1. Joe Louis....25 successful defenses...still a record
    2. Rocky Marciano....undefeated 49-0-0, retired champion record holder
    3. Muhammed Ali....beat lots of name fighters, long successful career

Wladimir Klitschko is 31 years old.....let's not get ahead of ourselves

    1. Ali
    2. Tyson
    and

Valuev is the greatest ever. Corrie Sanders second, Vitaly third.
    3. De la hoya (let me explain this last choice. During my time in prob stat class i did some math and found out that upwards of 16% of the worlds population will have a barely-functional or lower iq level. These are probably the three most publicized boxers of all time. I'm sure if you asked some of the "intellectually challenged" people in america or anywhere else de la hoya would show up quite readily as an answer to this question.)
And if you ask someone to name a make of a car they would probably say Ford or Chevrolet but it doesn't mean they make the best cars!Ali gets shoved down everyones throats every day!ESPN classics should be renamed the Ali network!Ali was the self proclaimed greatest and everyone has bought into this even if they haven't seen one of his fights!Marketing is an amazing thing.I won't even get into comparing Wladimir with Ali because they are very different all around and there is absolutely no way to make a legitimate comparison having fought in different eras.
    i agree
The thing is this.....Wlad is not even the best of his era so how can he be compared to a legend? End of story.
What fighter is better right now than Wladimir?
He would not have beaten Peter without holding so that means Peter is better. He's gonna avoid Peter at all costs, trust me. Especially now that Peter has improved.

Posts like this are a complete waste of time. The person posting the subject is either completely clueless or he/she is trying to get a rise out of people. How this thing has gone over 22 pages is beyond me.

wow this thread is similar to mine and has many people replying to it, I never realise that Wladimir has many fans from uk back then but 1 thing for sure, he has many fans or haters. But to be honest I can't see 1 reason for why any good person can hate him.
Like I said for a fact he has many people interested in him

Ali become heavyweight champion at 22 years old
Wladimir become heavyweight champion at 24 years
3 years after ali became youngest heavyweight champion, Ali was stripped of from his title due to racism, at the age of 29 ali lost his first fight after becoming the heavyweight champion of the world but reclaim his title 3 years later from the great george foreman.
Wladimir lost his first fight at age 27 after becoming the heayweight champion but also reclaimed his title 3 years later from the longest reigning champion (chris byrd).
Ali was very tall for a man in the 1960's
Wladimir is very tall for a man in the 20 century.
Both boxer are very good looking
Ali is very intellingent as we know it
Wladimir is very intellingent Don't fortget his p.h.d
Both boxer have the best personality ever in the world, as well as one of the nicest people ever they are.
Ali had contact with political leader like malcolm X also Wladimir brother was trying to be a mayor of of kiev, my point is Wladimir has contact with political leaders too.
And my main point is there wladimir and ali are so similar that the only diffferent between ali and wladimir is that Ali has been there and done it and wladimir is going through the same path at this present time.
    NOT JUST BOXER!
    NOT JUST SPORTMAN!
But, the whole world Should watch out for Wladimir because he is going to be the next GREATEST
    NOT JUST THE GREATEST BOXER
    NOT JUST THE GREATEST SPORTMAN
BUT THE GREATEST PERSON TO EVER LIVE
I thought there might be some semblance of a salient point here. This post is completely asanine; a farce, if you will. And we're all dumber having read it.
