    Default HBO Tripleheader: Pavlik-Lockett, De Leon-Lopez, Lee-Rubio

Yo...did you guys see this...at first I wasn't too big on Pavlik fighting Lockett, but his card actually sounds good. HUGE step up for both Lee and Lopez. Check it out:

That would be an awesome card, I'm a little worried about the two prospects though, De Leon and Rubio are gonna really test Lee and Lopez, very big steps up for both guys.

HUGE step up for both guys...I think that's why I'm so intrigued with the card. I think Lopez has a good shot at beating De Leon. Lee should be okay with Rubio, but that's definitely a dangerous opponent for the young prospect.

I think Pavlik/ Lockett is a mis-match & not what Kelly needs. He should be fighting Wright!

I pick Lee to topple Rubio, but it's definitely a big step up.

DeLeon/ Lopez now thats the sort of match-up I like to see. I think Lopez wins. Will be tough though.

Yeah two intruiging undercard bouts.. Can't say I've seen Lockett, Lopez, or much of Rubio though.. Pavlik is wasting his time. If Juan Ma Lopez is as good a fighter as I've heard some say, I'll pick him to embaress Ponce De Leon. I hate that guy so much, ugliest fighting style at a top level imo. I do respect that he has great punching power and is relentless , I just see a guy waiting to get a grade A Masterclass boxing clinic put on his ass everytime I watch him though. Let's hope Lopez has the skills to shut him out without getting too defensive so that we have to watch De Leon throw punches for more than 2 minutes. As for the Rubio-Lee fight like I say I've only seen a bit of Rubio, the Ouma fight really.. And he's not hard to hit, has also been KO'ed a couple times. I think Lee should be able to take him out but it's definetly a good test to show where he's really at. I do hope they don't try and make this PPV though.

I don't know...I just don't think Pavlik-Wright is that big of a fight...I think there should be some kind of build-up to it. I mean, let's say Pavlik fights and beats Wright...then what...who's next after that? Abraham? Then what? I think Wright should establish himself as a middleweight and get a win under his belt first...fight someone like Sturm, look good and dominant in the fight and give us a little hype leading up to a Pavlik fight. Hell, who knows...Wright might even lose to Sturm, who's a lot like Wright, and then all of sudden, Sturm becomes a player for a big clash with Pavlik. I just can't buy into these guys getting fights just on the sake of their name. I need some kind of build-up.

Wright draw (was robbed) with Taylor who was champion at the time, he's done enough in my eyes.

He schools Sturm who struggled with Griffin

Was he robbed though? I mean, personally, I think he was...but there are quite a few people out there who actually think it really was a draw.

And does he school Sturm? I don't know...I haven't really seen him since he lost Bernard...and honestly, I don't think he's the same fighter he once was. Again, don't get me wrong, technically, I think he should beat Sturm, but I'm just not so sure he does.

    Just my opinion though.

Sounds good and all but the fact that this is just "speculation" makes me just kinda shrug my shoulders and say "ok"....

Once I hear the fights are signed, venue and date set...
    Then I'll be all smiles....

    In the event...
    Pavlik TKO
    PDL TKO
Lee UD (Good step up in class for Lee)

Yeah I am not sold on this Lockett fellow. He has a good record, but against unknown opposiition. Who knows he might give Pavlik a decent go. Would have much rather Pavlik face Winky though. I want to see if Pavlik can handle an experienced lefty.

Rubio is a good match for Lee. I have not seen much of rubio either, but in the one fight I did see him in he seems to be a tough one. He is coming off a TKO win over Zertuche also, which means he deserves a good TV fight.

De-Leon vs Lopez really has my attention. I cannot wait for that one!!

Wow, you actually think Lockett will get up!! How charitable of you.

On a serious note, not every single fight Pavlik has needs to be against an established top 20 p4p'er, might as well get a willing mandatory out of the way. He'll beat Lockett comfortably, but apart from the top 5/6 fighters around M/SM all fights will be comfortable for Pavlik if he takes them seriously.

Sounds like a good card, should get it over here if Lockett is fighting as well so all good.
