Nelson keen to make Haye

Johnny's prob just missing the buzz that he seen last weekend... sounds like he will be back with or without Haye if thats how he is feeling

Dont remember Johnny ever having that kind of buzz around one of his fights in the first place. He was a decent champion for some time (albeit in a weaker division but still) but his time has passed. Before the injury retired him he would have been a decent test for Enzo - a shame that never happened but I see no need for him to fight on now. Can you really see him lasting long with either of our guys, or even with a Mormec or O neil bell. No chance!
If he were to return now he'll never see the top again, he could be a kind of gatekeeper to the top half a dozen or so in the world, a worthy test to the younger guys but I doubt he'd be happy with that kind of role.
Enjoy the retirement and keep up the good work on TV Johnny but theres no need to put the gloves back on.

Nelson was never the best cruiser in the world ,
wot makes him think that -
a. he deserves a shot at Haye.
b. anybody in world terms ever took him seriously.
c. that anybody outside of Sheffield ever forgave him for his fights with Carlos De Leon and James Warring.
d. the fact his nickname "THE ENTERTAINER" was the most unsuitable, of any nickname in the history of boxing , its like calling Marvin Hagler PRETTYBOY , or Ray Leonard THE REAL BEAST.
But i must take this opertunity to thank Frank Warren for another excellent WBO JOKE CHAMPION FOR THE UK.

I don't see no way in hell that Haye is going to want to make a fight against Johnny Nelson when he's got the big prospect of US Stardom in the heavyweights and the big bucks that entails drawing him that way.

Maybe Nelson could be a comeback fight for Enzo...make the bout they were due to make two or three years ago.

Nelson didn't want hard fights when he was active, so why he's gotten competitive now can only be because the fight will never happen.
