Don't give me that tune-up bullshit. Did Jermain Taylor take a tune-up after getting stopped by Pavlik? No. Did Rafael Marquez and Israel Vazquez take tune-ups after fighting and stopping each other? No they did not. They fought the best available opposition. Which is there cases were each other. For the amount of money Hatton is getting paid, he needs to be fighting the best available opponent. Every fighter takes tuneups form time to time. Some fighters need more mental rebuilding after a loss then others.

IMO Taylor looked the best I had ever seen him in the second Pavlic fight. Back never touched the ropes... Didn't gas in the later rounds. Fought well... Amazingly, I might add...

I think after fighting Mayweather of all people and getting KOd you should be allowed a comeback fight... What they do with the ppv or the purses is non of my concern. I want to see the best Ricky Hatton in there when he fights Witter... A guy with all his confidence.

Witter's age isn't an issue. He's had fewer fights than Hatton and has fought far fewer tough rounds, both because of a lower level of opposition and his style of fighting.

Hatton is probably nearer the end of the line than Junior, older in boxing years so to speak, and that's why I'd like to see the fight happen sooner rather than later.

I haven't missed the point. The fight will happen it's a matter of timing. HBO are the paymasters and they will get Hatton vs Witter on..If Witter does something to get casual American Boxing fans interested otherwise Malignaggi or maybe Juan Diaz will be the names on the Executives at HBO.

Hatton beats Lazcano and gets some faith restored so its upto Witter to get the otherside done. Thats how boxing works.

Hatton doesn't want to fight Witter cos Witter has been doing nothing for years except struggling against half decent fighters and calling out Hatton.
Hatton has gone and beaten a P4Per in Tszyu then gone to the States to fight and made a name for himself and not been fighting infront of a little crowd of people in the Doncaster Dome.
