I had Pac winning as well. The difference to me was the knockdown, without it the fight would have been a draw.

Great fight, btw. I enjoyed every minute of it. I'd love to see a third, but it won't happen. Marquez has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. It was so damn close.

Thumbs up Re: ICB's RBR of Pacquiao vs Marquez 2.

ICB.............i'm not taking nothing away from JMM but to be honest it's the aggressor who usually wins the fight. the knock down did make a difference though. Tell me how many hits did Pac take compared to getting pushed back and taking the fight from JMM.

It's just that kind of fight and we can't change that. that is boxing but their is a rematch clause so you will get to see the fight agian and maybe JMM will come out victorious to win th belt back because that is once again boxing politics.

so i just watched the youtube vids of rds 1-5, rd 10 and rd 12..

just from watching those rounds, i figured pac won by UD.. but then i checked boxrec.com and saw it was a SD, which means JMM came on eventually after the 5th..

JMM def won the last round, and i had 1 MAYBE 2 out of the first 5 for him, but Pac knocked JMM down, and it only seemed like a matter of time for him to connect up until that point.. I didn't see marquez doing much in those rounds, except the 12th..

again, i ddin't see the whole fight so i can't say too much, but from what i did see, the rounds that pacman won were pretty brutal.. he shook marquez up several times including a knockdown.. can't wait to watch it all.

Well I was watching two other RBR coverages besides this one, and both Boxingscene, and Kevin Iole of Yahoo gave the fight to Marquez.

If you also looked at the final stats, Marquez had the higher percentage in all categories.

It was a great fight, but I personally think that Marquez won it by a close margin. Yes, Manny knocked down Juan, but Juan hurt Manny on several occassions as well. Juan also controlled the pace, for the majority of the fight.

The fight is over, and I'm not going to cry about the decision, because it was a close fight, but I do disagree with it.

This is probably the best thing to happen for Manny. He got humbled without an L going on his record. Hopefully on the next Countdown to the third fight pacquiao won't be hanging out with the black eyed peas singers shooting pool and training in hollywood

That about says it all! Manny could not hit JMM consistently...although when he did it did count but it's not like JMM punches were weak.

Im not a fan of counting punches but Damn...........They might tell a story huh?I am a fare fan watching religiously for the last 20 years and Marquez was landing the more effective punches!Pac looked off balance badly at times, But the record books will have him as victorious.Marquez is still in top form also, shite call when all is said and done Imo.

I would not have any problem with a draw, if it were without the knockdown, however, with PacMan scoring the knockdown, the split decision is justifiably deserved.

I can't believe how many people here gives JMM the nod when clearly, all he had in this fight was counterpunching. Taking no chances at all. Pac needed to be in harm's way (all out attack) to make the fight. If roles were reversed, and JMM needs to knockdown a PAC the champion, (NOW) to be one again, given his skill set, will be an extremely difficult task.
