I am just starting boxing and my trainer makes me do crunches and leg work everyday. Should I exersize, my legs and do crunches daily? Should I also work my shoulders for endurance until I can't work them anymore, daily?

ud be suprised how far that leg and ab workout will do 4 u... Tyson fed off that stuff... im tellin you man... strong legs... u aint goin down... i mean unless u get clocked real nice.. and u have better movement... but work on ur hand speed too....
depends how fit are you now.
is he saying work till failure or just do a set amount of work?
for example. Doing 100 ab exercises everyday would be ok. Doing them till you can't move would not.
When starting out most work 1 day on 2 days off OR 1 day on 1 day off + weekends to rest - so you do 3 workouts a week.
More info!
On a daily basis, working the same muscles to the point of failure is a quick way to get hurt. But the whole point of working out is to shock the muscles into building themselves up.
This may be a little oversimplified, but you tear a muscle down by working it. It realizes it's not strong enough to do what you're asking it to do, so it rebuilds. The fastest way to convince your muscles that they're not strong enough is to work them to the point of failure. But that technique should be used sparingly, and if you don't get enough recovery time in between workouts, your actually doing more harm than good.
we all know of course that you don't need any qualifications to be a trainer. If you want to be an official aba trainer you do...most just seem to make it up![]()

legs are good to work my friend. some of your punches use the legs to add to the power.
crosses to push off your back foot as you turn your hips, and uppercuts can require a driving upwards force from your legs aswell asyour body rotation.
Crunches are okay to do everyday.Ab muscles recover very quickly. As far as legs, if they are sore back off that day.Actually soreness in any phase of conditioning is an indicator that you need to back off.Listen to your body.
only back of soreness if your a little girl.
if you do bodybuilding that pain tells you that your muscles are ripping further and therefore getting bigger and stronger.
obviousely dont over do it, but your a boxer for gods sake, pain comes with the territory
