The guy won an MD last night against a "gimme".

Diaz leaves himself open for punches and is a fairly average fighter. This is a giftwrap lightweight title for Pac and nothing more. It won't even be close and I can't believe people would see this any differently.
I agree with u. From watching the fight and reading all the reports, it seems Pac and his management do not want to fight JMM again. I feel sorry for JMM cos he could and possibly should have beaten Pac twice.

Beating Diaz proves nothing, he nearly got beat by a clearly shot Morales who Pac defeated easily.
Hopefully the scenario is Pac beats Diaz, then gives JMM a shot at the 135 title.
Diaz has got heart and won't give up, he showed that against Morales and Santa Cruz.

Yes he's limited in the same way as oleg maskaev is limited but he still gave Sam Peter plenty to think about in their fight and rattled him.

It's by NO MEANS a gimme fight for Manny and IS a stern test for a first move up to an unknown weight class.

Not sure why people hate on him so much or this fight, but if Manny is serious about a new career at 135 he needs a decent test but not to go straight to the best man in the division.

Diaz is the perfect choice imo. Has name recognition after a win over Morales, plus he's a legitimate belt holder.

It's Manny's first fight at 135, seriously what do you guys want?
Manny wants Diaz's belt too. But another $6M fight with Marquez gotta be tempting for him.
