David Diaz is the very definition of a paper champ. He brings nothing to the table skills-wise, he's just a hardworker.

Diaz's big claim to fame is that he defeated the rotting corpse of Erik Morales, and I actually scored that fight as a narrow win for Erik.

umm, No .Juan Diaz has little one punch pop but makes up for it in Volume and Consistency....in most cases.Nate that night was a tactical Terror and in preme form & would lump David Diaz up Also,But for a TKO. David Diaz with respect to his all out robotic ways,Is at his peak equal to where Juan Diaz was a couple of years ago In the all around skill's & Development Field

Diaz isn't as bad as people think. Knocking out Santa Cruz, even in a come from behind victory is a good win as was his controversial win over Morales.

Even those who scored it for Morales have to admit the fight was close and Morales looked much better than he did at super feather against Pacquaio.

As a step up in wieght first fight Diaz is ideal for Manny. He's the perfect opponent, beatable but with an exciting crowd pleasing style.

The fight itself will be entertaining whilst it lasts.

Diaz reminds me a bit of Britains own Carl Johanneson, a game battler, likely to be outclassed and beaten by the best but still an honest hard worker and a game opponent who won't come just for the paycheck.

If this fight happens I'll look forward to it, and wouldn't be at all suprised if Diaz made it a very rough night for Pacquaio.
