This is my first time looking at Andy Lee.

Only caught it from the 4th round but he dont look too hot so far.
He certainly likes to get hit.

    What an unbelievable comeback..

Vera has a HELL of a chin.. he shouldn't have gotten hit with half of those straight left's if he had any defense, but holy SHIT he is a warrior.. what an exciting fight!

Vera is smacking lee like he owes him money...Lee cut up and taking shotsamany from a clumsy wide swinging contender loser and just GOT TKO'D,Dude just got handled in the 7th and stopped somewhat iffy?........Busted up & tired though.Un Freaking believable....or is it?? Some idiot in Veras corner just called him Rocky Graziano

I have to admit that was the first and only time I have ever actually seen Andy Lee so don't know how he looked before.....

But why did people rate him?

Not knocking him just curious, was he supposed to have silky skils, a big puncher, crafty defense or what?

Cos to me and I only watched from Round 4 he looked shat.

He looked awesome against shat opponents. I never really rated him that high but he did look promising, but his chin was exposed and maybe the power wasn't as good as it looked against weaker guys.

honestly i thought that was a HORRIBLE stoppage

lee landed the last 2 punches, and it wasnt a trading exchange

he was hit, vera stepped back, and then a 1 - 2 from lee and then the ref stepped in

btw i only drink on special occasions...

happy nambian family day to all

His Defense was horrific. One saving plus ,He was sitting and timing Vera well in spots but waiting way to much.He believed the hype and was looking for a highlight reel KO,when It didnt come and Vera refused to fold...Lee had no plan B at all

If he has any hope, the loss may be the best thing to happen to him.But with respect to Vera....dude is grade c at best,Lee has a huge ways to go if he hopes to get in with top's.Forget all the ready for a title shot talk LMAO

Actually Vera isn't bad. He was unbeaten coming into the Contender with a win over hot ESPN prospect Samuel Miller. I personally thought he lost that fight but it was close and Miller until his loss to that Darnell guy was considered an ultra hot prospect and KO machine.

He also beat Max Alexander from the Contender who was pretty slick, almost upsetting Sam Soliman on the show so Vera is no slouch.

He got caught early by Codrington but apart from that had a perfect record.

I thought this looked a tough assignment on paper and he really did do himself proud on the night.

I'd say he's B grade, a Jesse Feliciano caliber opponent who could be a tough nights work for even a few A list fighters.

He is No slouch but he is wide open and swings wildly but shows decent chin.He went in and refused to be a foil for a overly packaged up & commer. His resume is dotted with "Contender" accomplishments but tonight Vera turned the page into a bigger fight where he may very well get pulverized Imo.Non the less he showed top resolve and toughness tonight. Good for him and much respect. But honestly,Vera should enjoy his 15 minutes.
