Who's gonna take over for the Klitschko bros' trainer?

Manny's an encyclopedia of boxing, but there certainly does seem to be a communication problem. It's probably like Bilbo said that he spreads his time so thin that when he's actually in the corner the fighter isn't sure to take his word or not since they've primarily been working with other trainers, who perhaps have given slightly conflicting advice.

I read about Manny and the great work he did with the no hopers as well as the prospects that walked into his gym in the early days. seems he taught them more than how to splip the jab and counter - I wonder how many lives he 'saved' from the street in those days...
The trainers role during a fight should not I think be underestimated. The right words and instructions at the right time can be invaluable but if the fighter loses respect for him and is not listening then it's time for trainer and fighter to part company. It used to be that the trainer was the 'boss' but more and more now once a fighter 'makes' it they forget what got them there in the first place - Naz and Ingle is a good example.
I think the experience and knowlege that Stewrad has is a gold mineand it would be a shame to see that go out of boxing.

Didn't someone start a similar thread about Buddy McGirt?
There's some things about Manny that I don't think, like the fact that he doesn't where any type of a shirt underneath his ring robe/jacket, and I have to look at his old ass chest, anyways, I do think that he has valuable knowledge for the boxers he trains, it's just all a matter of whether his fighters listen to him. How many of you remember his yelling at Taylor during the Spinks fight, and Taylor didn't listen to one damn thing he said. Can't blame Manny for that shit.

Good question.
Maybe he should drop some of the dead weight and just train Vlad until the wheels fall off. That's what I would do if I were Manny.
He has a nice gig at HBO and many years of watching good fights ahead of him... free fights... up close... free...
His hype for certain fighters lately has been so over the top its bizarre. I mean besides the ridiculous comments about Andy Lee, the Pavlik by the end of the year garbage, does anybody remember Octavio Lara?
Steward hyped him up more than probably any young prospect I can remember, you would think he was going to be the next Julio Cesar Chavez, in fact if I remember correctly he compared him to JCC. Would tell these bizarre stories about how when Lara was like 13 he knocked a pro fighter at Kronk out with one punch and from the way he talked the guy was the absolute next can't miss guy. Except he's like 7-2 with two losses to guys with a 2-2-2 record and a 7-5 record and he hasn't fought in like two years. I had forgotten about the guy but he was such big news for a while cause of Steward's ridiculous hype.
Just seems like he has serious judgement problems about young prospects these days.
