One thing that's always suprised me about this myth is that almost every boxer accepts it as fact. It's almost like a superstition with them.

Now never having boxed I can't speak from any experience as to whether it does weaken your legs or not but I'm suprised there arn't loads of boxers who make a point of having sex the day before, or even the day of a fight in order to show how confident they are and that they don't believe in superstition.

If I was a world class boxer, I'd be like Paul Hunter the now sadly departed snooker player and boast about how I had sex in the dressing room an hour before the fight!

Then go into the ring with a big grin and the confident stare of a man who knows he doesn't worry about stupid myths and superstitions, even if there's some validity to them.

In effect you'd be saying 'I'm so confident of beating you I don't need to deny myself, I can screw around an hour before the fight and still come in here and kick your ass!'

Now I'm just amazed no boxers ever do that

I mean even if they were lying and actually didnt have sex before, why not just pretend like they did to get a pschological edge?
