true! i loved his last fight damn he dominates!
he schooled ummm whats his name soto bad.
Yeah he did. A pretty highly regarded Humberto Soto who a lot of people wanted to see fight Pac.
Back on the subject of Valero. Part of what made him such a phenom, in addition to his knockout streak, was his high profile sparring sessions. Here is one of them with Bobby Pacquiao conquerer Urano Antillon. It's old but, given Urbano's big win, it's worth another look.

So impressive is Valero in these sparring sessions, makes me think he can box a little.
NICE!
thought it was gonna have EV KTFO out of his sparring rates for like 10rounds tho lol
Manny Pacquiao and Edwin Valero actually sparred before. According to this Pacquiao interview IN TAGALOG...

Pac said "Valero is just a mediocre puncher with a big mouth, that's what he really is".![]()
I don't think it was because of how good Soto was that made people want to see him fight Manny, it was more of Soto just knocked out Bobby Pacquiao. It was more of "you beat my brother, now see if you could beat me?" Similar to the Donaire brothers and Darchynian situation...
A lot of people on here wanted to see that fight immediately after Soto beat Humberto Toledo on Versus in that comeback fight where he looked very good. Gamo in particular really talked him up as an opponent and had a lot of people calling for that matchup so I wouldn't say it was a "you beat my brother" thing, otherwise Pacquiao would be fighting a lot more opponents![]()
No doubt about it, Soto is a genuine contender.
Nate Campbell talks about MP, JMM, and Valero.

I agree Amat,Soto is a good fighter and a tough challenge for anyone that is going to stand in front of him.I was dissappointed by his showing v Joan but he was facing a pure boxer.Manny isn't a pure boxer.I'd still favour Manny to beat him but it would be a cracking fight!
