'To speak with his equal and irish man is forced to talk with God...'
Hey, give me a chance, I haven't thrown any blows yet! Personally I think his is a great story - having just read his interview in Boxing Monthly. But then, I write for money and have never won an award - does that make me a journeyman, or just a tomato can?

I'd like to show him for the warrior he still is, if I can manage to speak to him. We only have The Sun's word (and his words taken from a 3 year-old interview) that he's retiring, don't we? Or does anyone here know something I don't? Seriously, can anyone think of a clever way to contact him, or his trainer/ manager, Nobby Nobbs (no answer at the number I've got for him today)? I'd like to give him a chance to speak for himself, but as you've gathered I'm not exactly an expert on the boxing world...
Anyone who takes a cheap shot or writes some BS about the sport out of sheer dislike in a regional Newspaper without merit or facts to back up what is written is subject to having cheap shots taken at them and what ever publication they are associated with...by every boxing site with over a 250,000 hit count....By time everyone was done not too mention what promoters would do in a ramapge their career wouldn't be worth a plum nickle outside of obituarties and police blotters![]()
