Yeah I know. But I don't see it happening. I think De La Hoya massacring Hatton has a better chance of happening
It has been mooted but the size differential is just too big. Ricky bulks up...but not in the kind of way that would make the fight competitive. It's a cynical fight if they make it. I honestly don't think it'll happen.

Back on topic...lets not forget that Witter wants 'training expenses'. Given his purses won't have been that stellar in the past, he would still get paid via the backdoor and he'd do well enough out of sponsorship...plus, it won't hurt his profile either.

So he's hardly going out on a limb calling out a fighter he knows is on a different path and safe in the knowledge he'll still make career high money.

It's also fact that to date, he has never approached the Hattons formally...and that's come straight from Team Hattons lawyer.

So, it's all paper talk my friends...but like I said, I don't begrudge him for getting some of the limelight....he's still the second best welterweight we've got
    Yeah there's an unbiased party.

Well, it's in writing, so they could always take him to task on it if they felt it was libellous.

    P.S. They haven't

Witter better be careful, Hatton may take the offer and he will look a dick for making it and when he gets beat.

Why would he look like a dick? He wants the fight and unlike Ricky, is obviously confident and not worried about losing.

Witter is a professional and therefore boxing is his livelihood. He cannot afford to fight for free or peanuts because the fight will take a lot out of him win or loose. He needs to be compensated fairly for the fight.
