mayorgas right hand was working for him in that round. i cant judge the whole fight cos thats the only round i've seen. but oscar was looking good. a bit knackared for the half way mark though. dunno if he is in shape enough to go 12 rounds at the pace of a busy fight. he might do a trinidada again and do nothing for the last three rounds.

He wasn't boxing conservativly... after dropping Mayorga once he just stalked him round the ring threw caution to the wind because he knew he could get rid of him soon.

ODLH looked leagues behind Calzaghe if you compare the two fights (lacy)...
Calzaghe has the better Jab and is a better 'In Fighter'...
Oscar to me looked very cautious from rounds 3 thru 5 (when Mayorga nailed him once or twice)
and Mayorgas hands were way too low considering he was fighting a ma with a good jab
Such a shame that Joe has'nt had the recognition he deserves until now because if had more US exposure over the last 5/6 years then he's surley be up their with an Oscar or PBF in my mind and with ease.
Watch AGAIN the Lacy peformance and tell me im wrong.

Yeah why didn't Joe go after the better fighters at 168 when they were there? Why didn't he move to 175 and fight those guys? Or 160 and fight those guys?

When the fighters don't come to you, you have to go to them!

Oscar has clubbed out some pretty good fighters in his day...Joe just had slim pickings and he didn't apply himself and if he fights Manfredo he will have taken a giant step back...AGAIN!

I agree he has talent but what good is it if you don't put it on display?
