Okay, i have seen him fight once and it lasted a minute so it's hard to say if he is any good or not. What happens when he steps up? They will have to test him sooner rather than later?

I would say yes. "Journeymen", "tomato cans"... they're still legit pro-boxers eventhough they got pretty crappy resumes.
