I can't think of another fighter who had a single fight mean more to his legacy than Joe Calzaghe and this fight with Hopkins. If he loses, he'll be all but forgotten in history. If he wins, he stamps his legacy as one of the greats of this era. Simple as that. No excuses either way.

I think this is a huge fight for both, remember Joe is moving to fight Hop. Nards best scalps have been from naturally smaller men. I give the edge to Calzaghe on workrate, we all saw Taylor start fast out of the blocks 2x against Hopkins and Nard came awake in the 2nd half of the fight when Taylor faded, Calzaghe wont fade and will be on Hopkins for 36 minutes, Hopkins dosent throw enough anymore, sure he will try to spoil with the roughhouse stuff but I think Joe has tremendous footwork for a white boyand combine that with he speed and closing the distance will help him prevail convincingly....
I still maintain Hopkins will be lucky to win 3 rounds of the fight

I am rooting for Joe...He has the goods and he has the desire....I wish this fight came off years ago.....

I hope Joe loses. I hate him going on all the time about undefeated this and undefeated that and if he was Floyd Mayweather (See I ain't a Floyd hater) and fought the likes of Corrales, Castillo etc then I wouldn't be assed but I have never seen him say a sentence without the word 'undefeated' being in it. I want his '0' to go desperately, he has only faced 1 prime threat in 44 opponents and even that was in his backyard (As Usual)![]()
Come on Bernard, do the business for me will you, PLEASE!!!
