It's a wonderful resource that BoxRec Boxing Records
Seriously. It's numero uno when it comes to results. I consider their matchup info just an intresting rumor until CutMeMick says he's purchased his tickets.

Name a P4P list that isn't a bit off?...Though IMO boxrec just sits and picks names out of a hat....
I swear in December they had Rocky Gannon in the top 20
All kidding aside though it is a great source for records in the aspect of fighter's them selves and outcomes but other then that I use them for nothing
Hidden Content IN CASE THEY ALL FORGOT WHAT REAL HEAVYWEIGHT POWER WAS!!!

Oh Man.I thought that one was put into mandatory retirment..Lol or he had to go back to the Toughman contest's.
I think they are good at the record breakdowns but miss some of the small stuff.I say ALWAYS cross reference Information and do your own research.Wish they had more Bio's.

yeah you have to love boxrec as a record source it is an amazing site... there future matchs are done on rumours, news reports and prob fighters and promoters emails to them and they just change them if there wrong its not set in stone but i cant really see what is wrong with that format if i'm honest.... but i see what you mean when people see it as fact and post as much
one things for sure the internet for a boxing fan is far better place because of their site
not so good for the promoters trying to sell mismatches as 50/50 fights though![]()

I enjoy the site. It is sort of a gossip column for boxing in regards to upcoming potential matches etc.
It is also a great one stop database when searching for times and results for past fights.
I use it a lot for digging into certain fighters overall records and results. I find myself quite often thinking of a past fighter, who never won a title, but was always game. I will sit and try to think of their name but it does not come back to me. I then go to boxrec and cross reference names until I find the fighter I am looking for.
I think it is a great resource myself.

I remember when they had Pavlik vs. JT as fight for Cruiserweight titles.
How about Naseem Hamed #1 Featherweight ALL-Time.
How about Gene Tunney #1 HW all-time.
Anyway. BoxRec does have some good insight but I would not use it as my sole source. Nothing beats like watching the fight for yourself.![]()
