IMO, a Phillips - Spinks rematch should take priority over anything Phillips wants. Phillips had no real effective offense unless you count wild punches and far out lunges an offense and he won a few rounds off the fact that the punches he did land were a bit louder and that the world just seems to hate Cory Spinks.

Forrest is a very accurate puncher, has a good jab and movement and I think he keeps Phillips outside and I think Phillips takes quite a beating. He's not hard to hit and Vernon actually has the power to make his punches count.

This would be for the vacant Ring Jr Middleweight championship so IMO it's more important than a Spinks/ Phillips return.

I think Forrest would take a UD, but wouldn't it be great for a veteran like Phillips to grab a championship!

This fight makes sence. They are the top 2 light middleweights, unless you include ODLH. Vernon would be the favorite to win, but I like Vernos chances. His style could work well against Forrest imo.

Yeah bro it does make sense! Ring mag ranks Forrest #1 & Phillips #2. DLH is 3. But with Oscar tied up with Mayweather this is the best fight that can be made at 154 IMO

Yeah it could work, Forrest is usualy tight solid and neat but can easily get put off his game with pain or distanceing and questions form in his own head and he goes off track a bit.

He looked solid against Baldomir & Piccirillo & an outstanding performance over Mora would set the fight up nicely!

Phillips could look at a fight with Bunema while Forrest deals with Mora

    Yeah he did true,
Forrest has a style that is pure and he is solid while he gets his own way with it.
But looking at the odd times he has come apart it was a real unravelling and he couldnt get the act back into place.
I give anyone a hope with him for that reason.
Forrests style is all about control.
