Your talking about Dave Paris refereering the Derry Mathews fight. You should Know your stuff before you open your mouth especially when you make totally crap gestures that Micky Vann is a total disgrace in refeering!Get your facts right. How many fights have been studying that have been staged over here in the U.K??It does'nt sound like you have much knowledge on the art of the fight game, nevermind the referee's trade!Your talking out of your

well ok then you have given your opinion on me , how about your opinion on mr parris , or are you defending his awful refereeing lol, and yes i have seen micky van quite a bit and dont particulary think hes all that , although he is bias to the british fighter for sure , dont jsut have a go at me answer the question of wether the referee is bias and awful and totally a joker , the referee in question is mr paris, and i never said micky van was a total disgrace if you jsut read a little carefully. im saying we cant have a go at the likes of joe cortez if we have the likes of mr paris doing an even worse job.

and i think i should quickly correct myself as it appears it may seem i said micky van was a disgrace , if it appears so , i apologise hes not a disgrace but i dont think hes as good as people make out , pls retire mate for all the challengers who will fight british champions and have micky as a referee, im guessing i will have to go look for evidence of his not so great refereeing ro prove why i think hes not so great.

The point were you made the comment that "We" should all not be just slagging off Cortez, due to the fact that YOU also think Dave Paris is just as bad at refereeing as Joe Cortez was or is.The fact of the matter between them two refs is that Dave Paris let Darry Mathews have 3 chances to make the 8count...Which Derry did,He showed Heart and determination by doing soo. That fight was under the rules of the WBO which rules out the standard 3 knock-down rule that most of the other boxing board dont allow. So Dave Paris was right to continue the way he did during the Mathews fight in respect of the rulings of the WBO.Where as Cortez was Bang out of order on the Hatton and Mayweather fight due to him getting hold of Hatton and talking to him up close while he(Hatton)was trying to unload inside shots....there was simple no reason for it!Of course boxers are allowed to fight up close,"Thats part of the game",but somehow Cortez did'nt think soo.Funny though because during the Hatton Vs Costillio fight he did'nt once applyed any of the horrible tactics that he brought in the major Hatton Vs Mayweather bout.

I like Smoger and Ortega, they are the fairest IMO. Smoger lets alot of in fighting happen and Ortega is about as by the book as you can be, he always warns when necessary, and doesn't miss much.

As soon as I saw this thread title, I knew it would only take a couple posts for the first "Cortez, because of the way he treated Hatton" post .

Hatton got his ass kicked because he's not even remotely on the same level as Mayweather is. Hatton should be thanking Cortez for stopping the fight in timely fashion and preventing him from getting slammed into more ringposts.

    Oh! believe you me SweetPea,
Mercante Sr & Jr could have both been in the ring that night and PBF would have kicked Hattons ass regardless.
That does not mean Cortez did NOT do a shitty job on that night.
Warning or no warnings PBF beats him.
But again the performance alone by Cortez was bad.

yvonne think you will find your talking shit, jsut looking to make excuses for awful refereeing. damn if you cant see it and cant accept it then your watching from the most bias view point of all. as for hatton vs mayweather lol, hatton was never going ot be able to fight on the inside p4p #1 is to good inside he has great defensive abilties, as if he was going to let hatton throw inside punches and so on, we all knew this going into the fight why wouldnt you hold on and tie him up, give me a break hatton got shown up for the lower level fight he is compared to mayweather.

if it was up to you paris would be the referee between them then hatton could do as he wished and get away with it and you would see nothing wrong.
