    I was a fan

here is a decent little video of his career I found on youtube

Nigel prided himself on being a bad guy.

He had a verrry questionable youth, he was saved by the military and rumours abound to this day, of his shady connections
Donny if I made a list of fighters over the years that fit that profile it would take a week
You see Daxx, the thing is, with Benn, he was the peoples champ and all that.

But he was nasty. Behind the scenes he was just as ferocious as he ewas in the ring.

I won't get into it, but there are stories and they all end similarly.
Because of his background, Nigel Benn will never go poor

If Andries was not flying around so much and Tommy was able to land cleany the fight would have been over due to the fact Andries would not have gotten up...I give the man credit for his heart that night,,,one of those times where one is too brave for their own good IMO...Or maybe I should say his corner was too brave for his own good...The ref was just plain old crazy....

What about Gatti in the 9th against Ward, he still came back in the 10th but even I surprised it was not stopped, but thankfully it was not.

I think we can all name a few times in those fights where it could have been stopped and justifiably so...In those bouts they seemed superhuman...IMO during those bouts there was no one else in the game that could have went at it toe to toe like they did...It's like you can not describe what came over those two....same for the Rafael/Vazquez and Bowe/Holyfield bouts......it is a wonder none of them were hurt permanently

Bowe and Holyfield are heading towards being punch drunk and we will have to see the effects with Vasquez and Marquez.

I was speaking of the fight themselves...Can't blame that on their fights against each other....Though it did not help....Holyfield was going to end up that way regardless...Just the style he had...took too many shots from too many big punchers....
