Certainly didn't expect Lopez to floor Santana, much less twice to the body. Wow.
He did a very good job of not smothering, don't know why Lopez didn't have a sustained attack like that earlier.

The difference between Lopez' 8th and Santana's 9th was Lopez' ability to not smother and space his shots moving forward. Lopez couldn't miss winging from the outside but each time he had Lopez on the brink of falling over, he walked into a clinch. Good action from both.

Well I missed most of round 6 but I had Lopez edging it by a point but he's lucky to have survived that one imo, just a little more space and I think he would have hit the mat.

Two very weird and eerily similar fights. I feel like I more or less watched the same fight twice.
Can't say I have a problem with the decision, I imagine the lack of offense from Lopez in the early rounds cost him the decision. With the exception of a couple rounds, he didn't produce enough offense and he paid the price. It was a close fight, one that a little bit either way would have earned the win and it was Santana had more in the end. Pretty good fight though, sloppy but good.

Tomorrow Showtime card Is Three Hours ?? Notice there is very little to No betting this weekend ? Hmmmm
I actually think Johnson may have more than a chance Vs. Dawson![]()

Johnson over Dawson is the next upset in the year of upsets. Well both Puerto Rican guys pulled it off, is that foreshadowing tonights fights? I thought both fights were pretty entertaining, great matchmaking for that card last night. 4 blockbuster type fights tonight and thats just Showtime and HBO, I got the Dunne fight at 2 on rte, then maybe the Castillejo Vs Sylvester as well, its gonna be a full day today.![]()
