I Obviously enjoyed this,the brutatility and the fact Gomez wasn't damaged permanent.

But at the same time you gotta admit it was simply unacceptable that Gomez corner was pleading for 1 more round...I mean ...c'mon .........

And it was his own father doing it.

Rediculous... It was over after the first round... Since when did his father think he had a puncher's chance. When has Gomez been a puncher. Not in this lifetime.

Gomez is a good kid and a warrior but not at that level.

My girlfriend was sitting next to me and she closed her eyes several times.
She really likes Gomez cause her and I saw the entire 1st season of the contender together and Gomez was her favourite.

I didn't want to see Gomez hurt as I like the guy especially after the 2nd round I pretty much knew it'd be over soon as Cotto took it easy on him.


For the record theres only ever been 1 cunt in the history of boxing who geniunely said:

I agree that he took it easy by not whitewashing him in 2 rounds and making him look like a child.

But by letting Gomez survive Cotto actually gave him a more severe beating than if he'd of just knocked Gomez out.
