DUMB ASS boxing fans, why boo BCD?

They're fight fans, not boxing fans, and they were booing becase he wasn't fighting. Long before that point I was wanting him to get knocked out too.

It was a great fight, watching glen johnson continue to pressure throughout and dawsons great footwork and ability to get himself out of trouble when gettin hurt etc...there were a lot of great things about this fight. The only thing that i can think of is that they were eager to see dawson brawl more in hopes johnson the home town guy (sorta) would win. I don't think any tarver fan who's people were mainy in attendance want to see him have to fight dawson, cause the chances of him beating dawson are pretty slim.

I thought it was a GREAT fight, and I agree a FOTY contender and I thought the booing was ridiculous much the same. Those fans in St. Petes should learn from the fans in Germany for the Sylvester fight, those were great fans. Definitely left me wanting to see more from both fighters.

I don't think they were booing Chad , more aimed towards the judges. As soon as they said unanimous people started moaning. BCD should be proud he was in with a World class fighter and hung in there. I'm not gonna cry over the decision anymore, but I would have booed at those scores as well.

BCD V Johnson was a FOTY contender imo,tremendous fight and clash of styles but wtf was up with the fans booing BCD? He tried to box for a few seconds at the end and they booed him at the end and when he was celebrating.WTF? Do they know ANYTHING about boxing? WTF were they watching?

Anyone that thinks that fight was a robbery is insane. Casa v Cruz = robbery. Huerta v Diamond=robbery. This fight was CLOSE. There was no clear cut winner and it could have gone either way.

You've obviously haven't been around here for all the rants about him having a glass chin and him being KO'd when he fights a puncher.
Well Glens a puncher and yes he was hurt but he never went down and he fought back. If BCD & Glens performance didn't bring you to your feet at one point or another then I don't know what will. When Glen hurt BCD, BCD fired back and didn't let off.

The follwing 2 statements let's me know how much you know about BCD and what you've seen of him.

Did you miss the 3, 4 punch combos he was putting together.
I think it was round 7 where he put a 4 punch combo with 2 shots upstairs and 2 down stairs. The crowd was booing cause BCD was countering and boxing the people that boo! are people who don't appreciate boxing skills and are there just to see a brawl. The people who appreciate it and know the sport saw how BCD was able to control Glen with his jab and then follow it with a right hand circle around and repeat. Also they didn't boo him all night long cause they did applaud in the early rounds which he won and also the middle rounds he won.

If anything i think this fight proved corruption in boxing, that was johnsons fight by a round, at best a draw.

I have no problem with the fight being close cause it was Glen brought pressure in the end and closed out strong but it's 12 rounds that count not just the last ones.

Dawson never hurt johnson one bit, yet dawson was rocked on two occasions in that fight, once where i thought he was going down except managed to clinch and then back off.

If you knew about BCD you'd know he's not a brawler hes a boxer so what he did was smart and would he have traded punches he would have made a rookie mistake. You know the same kind of mistake that almost cost Pavlik his fight with Jermain when he thought it'd be a good idea to taunt Jermain.

Well then your not impressed and that's fine but don't cry about a close fight that could have gone either way and say Glen was robbed. I'll tell you like I've told others: A robbery is a fight where there is a CLEAR cut winner by 3, 4 rounds and it goes the other way.
That my man is a robbery. This fight between Glen and BCD was close. You yourself had it by 1 and also a Draw this tells me your not certain either. A few months back when the Tarver fight was 1st brought up I thought it was bad idea as BCD was more raw and really hadn't sat on a style now Eddie Mustafa has kept up the style and gives him the pointers needed. I think BCD is ready to give it a go vs. Tarver and I will be rooting for him if they fight.
I actually agree with you that Hopkins would beat BCD no doubt that would be a lesson for BCD.

But im hoping calzaghe carries everything upto light heavy because i want to see calzaghe beat hopkins and then fae dawson.
I think if calzaghe carries upto supermiddle like the true champ he is (thats the test for calzaghe to prove), then he will school dawson.

Guys like Hopkins & Joe are too seasoned for BCD right now.
I think it will boil down to how BCD performs against Tarver if BCD puts on a good performance then I expect him to fight the top guy.
One thing that people like yourself REALLY need to think about here is that BCD is ONLY 25.... Yes, 25 and the kids talented. If he can stay hungry and continue to improve then the skies the limit for him.

Dawson has comparitiveyl poor power compared with the other top guys in the division and probably the worst chin out of the other top guys.

I'll repeat it BCD is not a puncher. Hes a boxer, he uses the ring generalship. I think last night he showed that he can take a punch he didn't go down yes he was rocked but he didn't go down and YES he showed heart when he fought back despite being hurt.

I think Glens a quality opponent and many people thought he'd take out BCD but he didn't BCD fought smart and boxed. He still has things he needs to improve on but the fact is he continues to win. Also Adamek was argueably #1 when BCD defeated him so thats 2 quality opponents there.

Look I can see the fight being closed and I can see he's not Mr. Punching power. But to say he's got no heart is ridiculous. THe kids talented and if you couldn't see that from last nights fight then I don't know what to tell you. With time we'll talk again about him and we'll see what you think of the kid then. For now class is dismissed.

They booed during the fight when he went into retreat a few times, but thats just your basic bloodthirsty boxing fan. They always prefer the toe to toe slug out, BCD wouldn't fall into that trap and stuck to his game. If you fight on the backfoot you better learn to like the boo's. Alot better boxers have been booed Chad shouldn't worry about it, he is "Bad" right?
