I've stuck my neck out a couple of times but never in something as serious and so far without anything bad happening to me.

I think if we have the attitude of I'm not going to get involved or it's nothing to do with me and walk away we might as well just all bend over right now. If you were getting attacked wouldn't you want someone to come to your aid?
