what about Oscar and hatton considering hatton gets through this weekend

Does anyone think it would be a good match up.
I would like to see the fight just so those brits can jump off the hatton jock....De La Hoya would beat hatton soundly....It would not be a good matchup...not only is hatton smaller in weight size and reach he's also slower than ODLH.....which is why I would also like to see hatton in the ring with PBF....that would be another beating for him in the making....no I don't think either of these are good matchups for Hatton....
It feels good to be back home.

    Why wouldnt it be on?
What if Ricky wins in style this wkend at 147 i bet you anything that Oscar's name will start to be mentioned as a prospect.
Ricky is over in the states to get the big fights and the cash.
Who's bigger than Oscar for that at the moment?

There is a big chance PBF and Oscar wont happen.
Whether it be cos of Roger Mayweather or Floyd not wanting to fight someone who can actually beat him.
What other options does Oscar have? Tony M( no - too much of a risk for the money)

If promoters think it will make money then of course its an option
Im a boxing fan and id sure like to see it so wait until after this wkend and you might have a different opinion.
Ricky will have a belt and his profile will receive a little boost

None of you are giving Hatton a chance against Oscar.
If this was said last week people would have given Hatton a chance as Oscar was supposidly washed up.
Now that he has beaten an over rated bar brawler, he is the special one again
dont get my wrong i like oscar but hatton wasnt given a chnace against Kosta and he destroyed him.
Hatton is very tough and you yanks havent seen enough of him. He's unbeaten dont forget

I've seen more than ten Hatton fights, and he hasn't fought anyone close to Oscar. He is way too small at this time for Oscar. If you really want him to remain undefeated, then he shouldn't fight Oscar until at least a year at welterweight. Maybe 2.

    Hatton certainly has a chance
Oscar is coming to the end of his career and Hatton is at his peak

people said Kosta's right hand would be too strong for him and look what happened
alot of people gave Judah a chance against Floyd

hatton is better than Zab and Floyd is better than Oscar

where are all the hatton fans to back him up?

I understand what you're saying but Oscar is naturally 2 weight classes above him and 4 inches taller (maybe a little more)
You can't argue who can do what in this bout because it's comparing apples to oranges..just an absurd matchup IMO

Basically it would be pretty much just like the fight we saw saturday night, only difference that it would probably be stopped by cuts

DLH has one of the finest jabs in boxing. Quick, accurate, powerful. Hatton would walk into this from the sound of the first bell. Once his eyes start to puff up, or bleed, the right hand and textbook left hook would surely follow. I like Hatton, but I think his style plays right into DLH's hands.

The PBF fight would probably be boring. Hatton, on the other hand, IS A PRESSURE FIGHTER!!! If Mayorga can't bully ODLH around, do you think small, little Ricky Hatton can? Hatton is a great boxer, but come on people, just like PBF, they both needed to stay at 140. Hatton can't outbox ODLH and he definitely can't outslug ODLH. What can Hatton do to win? Hatton - ODLH would probably be a repeat of ODLH-Gatti but Hatton would probably land a lot more punches. There's no way Hatton would beat ODLH. Hatton needs to fight PBF and that's that.
I agree, Hatton and PBF should fight each other and that's it, and if it's a good match up, they should have a rematch or even a rubber match. Why fight an old Oscar who wants to retire in September? He's past his prime, and he knows it. Losing to a Hatton or a Mayweather would be worse than losing to Hopkins, because he'll never be able avenge a defeat to a much younger fighter in their prime years.

All respect to Hatton, but in the ring with Oscar he will get KTFO or TKO'd by the Golden Boy: Not a fair matchup at all!!!!

Ricky is a completely different fighter to Gatti.

I love Gatti but he has no defence and more of a brawler so of course De la Hoya was going to be more powerful, he's the natually bigger man.

Hatton would slip those jabs and give oscar hell
When has Hatton slipped anything? Hatton would suffer the same fate as Gatti and Mayorga

When has hatton slipped anything...you dnt know what your talking about...Go look up his fights, he slips a jab EVERY time it is thrown...Dont talk when u have no idea what your saying...
