DUMB ASS boxing fans, why boo BCD?

Well allow me to play Devil's Advocate here.

It's entirely different when you're actually at a fight to watching it on television.

Johnson put on a great attacking performance and the crowd were really getting behind him. He's 40 years old (actually I reckon he's 54) and was putting a hurting on the much younger, slicker champion.

Johnson has long been a fight fans fighter, have gloves will travel and the crowd were getting behind his efforts.

They felt he should have won, which if you guys were there ringside and caught up in the drama of it all you probably would have as well.

When you're out in a huge crowd with your mates cheering on at a sporting event its an entirely different occaision to carefully analyising a fight round by round at home.

Plus everybody boo's and jeers at ANY sporting event, it's what males do in a crowd enviroment

Yeah but this booing was a bit harder to stomach. Mind you I thought that Johnson won the fight.

The fans didn't just boo after the decision was announced, they first booed in the 6th round after a great first five rounds, Dawson began moving a bit and the fans booed. Immediately after the bout ended Dawson put his hands up after a strong finish and was booed.

How ungrateful! A home team should never be booed in their own building, and a great fight should never draw any boos. What the hell was the crowd expecting to see? They got a FOTY canidate, WTH was their problem?

I know what it is, if you watched the main event you would know that the crowd was full of TARVER fans, he had thousands in the arena in that night and that's why they booed. Boxing is a big sport in St. Petes, they are up on their news and all the Tarver fans in the arena knew that Dawson and Tarver are on a collision course. That's why the boo birds came out.

This fight showed me how tough BCD is. He didn't go down,was smart when hurt and is TREMENDOUS TO WATCH. I mean seriously,his boxing is beautiful,but he could make fights so much easier if he used the jab a little more. His handspeed is senational.His combos were beautiful.I was HUGELY impressed by BCD,another awesome call Mick my man. Really impressed that you saw him coming form a mile away! He's a tremendous fighter!

I remember the 'Maestrito' Lopez had just finished and my girl and I got up to go buy some drinks as I walked towards the consession stand I see this tall kid with shades and taking pictures with someone. I knew of him but had not seen him before then I saw someone with him and his shirt said 'Bad' Chad Dawson. I walked up to him and shook his hand I asked him if he could sign something for me and he quickly had someone pull out a small poster he signed it and said 'Watch out for me man, I'm gonna be a champ' and I watched him he must feel great to say something and then go through with it and accomplish it.
