Rnd 1. When introduced - noticeable boos for b-hop. Cortez says he's firm. Must be excited. Jabs by joe B-hop backing up goes to body and hangs on centre ring jabbing from both BIG right from BHOP and joe is down. Gets up and Joe keeps pressing bhop backing up still. Body by joe more holding lots of swinging but nothing connecting. Crowd cheers whenever joe throws. Round to B-Hop.

Rnd 2. Again Joe pressing hopkings in and holding. Another good right by hopkings, joe continues to press with hopkins backing up. Low blow by joe. Hopkins rest but just for a bit. Good left from joe. Another right from bhop. Round finishes with both holding and hitting. Pretty even round i think.

rnd 3. Joe pressing again. Jabbing moves in with the left and holds first left from bhop just a glancing blow Bhop using the right well joe trying hard to get him crowd cheers every time he lands. looking more settled now is joe. hopkins jabbing well. joe pressing well. everytime joe comes in bhop holds. crowd now boos, head clsh and more holding. both looking settled now.

rnd 6. same start but bhop not backing up as much. and throwing more combos as roach asked him to. good lefts by bhop. joe throwing plenty but not landing early. good body work by hopkins left and a right, up to the head then a break. back to the corners by bhop trying to counter and joe presses again. hopkins works the body again. joe throws wildly at the end of the round but not effective. Another to bhop

Rnd 5. Another had clash but minor. No cuts. more of the same joe pressing and hopkins trying to counter and hold. Good left by joe and the crowd cheers. Joe throwing much more than bernard. gets him with another 2 good lefts, another headclash no cuts, holding and backing up by hopkins to the corners. good left to the body by bhop then a right but little effect, joe holds and hits with the left twice then bhop hits him after the bell. Maybe a joe round

Round 6: Calzaghe comes out stalking, fires over the top with a right hand that misses and Hopkins ties it up on the insde after getting a right hand of his own in. This fight has fallen into the same basic pattern of Joe charging in, both getting off one or two shots and then tying up. Calzaghe lands a good left hand upstairs with Hopkins back to his ropes but Bernard doesn't look phazed. Hopkins fighting almost entirely with his back to the ropes. Calzaghe is having a good round in the sense that he is winning the round but can't land more then 1 shot at a time with Hopkins tying up so much. Hopkins lands a pair of good punches at the clap, two right hands. Calzaghe squares up and flurries upstairs on Hopkins, landing a good left hook in the process. Good round for Calzaghe.
