Round 6: Calzaghe comes out stalking, fires over the top with a right hand that misses and Hopkins ties it up on the insde after getting a right hand of his own in. This fight has fallen into the same basic pattern of Joe charging in, both getting off one or two shots and then tying up. Calzaghe lands a good left hand upstairs with Hopkins back to his ropes but Bernard doesn't look phazed. Hopkins fighting almost entirely with his back to the ropes. Calzaghe is having a good round in the sense that he is winning the round but can't land more then 1 shot at a time with Hopkins tying up so much. Hopkins lands a pair of good punches at the clap, two right hands. Calzaghe squares up and flurries upstairs on Hopkins, landing a good left hook in the process. Good round for Calzaghe.

Round 7: Calzaghe has all the momentum here and seems much more confident in there. Not lunging inside nearly as much and really controlling the early half of the round with his jab. Hopkins looks like maybe he is taking this round off, just circling and not shooting inside with right hands. Calzaghe very cocky in the ring, his hands at his side and chases Hopkins down in the last 10 seconds, jumping inside flurrying and Hopkins lands a good right in between Joe's punches that puts him back at the bell.
