He outworked him and had him looking very ragged down the stretch.
He came forward and made the fight.
Hopkins was so tired he resorted to questionable tactics to get himself a break.


Aside from the first third, Calzaghe really was in control IMO.

Brilliantly honest and true post, may I add that along with Reebok, they may get Lonsdale on board too, as he really should wear a third boxing glove on his head ...

Joe won clear, even allowing for the knockdown, I had him 3 rounds in front even tho it was messy at times,

But in honesty Flopkins was not interested in fighting the fight, just thieving and being dodgy, are crap tactics at this level, and I really expected more from B.Flop,

I'll even go further by adding Flopkins even robbed Joe of a spectacular win by use of his dodgy tactics, eg sneaking rests on pretense of serious foul,

I'm not disagreeing with the foul, but he milked it that much I thought they was gonna hang a cow bell around his neck and start calling him Daisy,

Also the butting, the holding, the just being a pain in the ass who would not get involved in fighting at all unless he got lucky throwing his single random shots.....poor indeed.

You missed the point completely i had Castillo winning by 1 point but it was very close fight that could of gone either way so you agree with that 115-111 scoring ??

As for Reid no im not kidding why would i be ?? that was highly controversial fight and many people thought Calzaghe lost that fight, seeing how you use punch stats for Hopkins vs Calzaghe why don't you pull out punch stats for Reid vs Calzaghe, they both landed exactly same amount of punches, the difference is Reid had a higher percentage of punches landed, and he also landed the much harder shots, he rocked Calzaghe many times with right hand leads.

Nah, I had Joe winning hands down....Hopkins tried what he knew and the only way he could win but it just wasn't good enough.


Anytime Hopkins fights it's hard to judge just because he #1 Fights tough and is a tough Champion and #2 Is very dirty and cagey....I don't want to call him dirty but he knows every tiny little trick in the book and uses it to his advantage....his boxing IQ is just amazing...he influences every fight he's in more than any other fighter I have seen
