I have seen Cortez a number of times lately and I do believe he needs to have a good holiday cause he aint fooling me with all his "Firm but fair" bollox......he is sooo biased and it is becoming a little tiresome....I wouldn't b surprised if we don't see that little man for a while
Job Biscuit (I think he needs to go back to ref School)!!!!
eh eh!!
i don't see how they gave it 115-112 and 116-111 to calzaghe, thats to wide for me and doesn't add up. i think we can all say that those who said a hopkins in his prime would clearly beat calzaghe where right. it wasn't until the last 4 rounds that joe started moving a bit once b-hop got tired, i think hopkins would even have stoped him in his prime. i honestly didn't see calzaghe do anything that shows he clearly won the fight, he looked very uncomfortable and perplexed in the first 6 rounds while missing so many shots, i friend of mine not a big fan of boxing even thought calzaghe was doing ok for a 43 year old man, when we told him it was the other guy thats 43 he ws suprised
it wasn't a robbery but hopkins deserved the victory.
ICB please watch round 10 again!
Please watch when hopkins and calz go toe to toe and you will clearly see bhop getting rocked and all over the place and have to recover by clinching!
Watch that round again mate then youll see that lathough bhop throwed the better punches early on, claz caught him with some decent powerful shots later on and rocked him quite badly, bad enough for him to look like if he took more he woulda gone down...rounds 10 and 11, watch them again mate![]()
Go to disagree with you bro! Close fight, but how can it be a robbery when the largest score for hopkins i have seen by anyone worth listening to is 114-113 Hopkins. A single round? hardly decessive.
Personally i don't think you can win a fight if everything you do is purely reactionary to the other mans strategy, especially if you are getting outlanded 2:1. At no point in the fight did Hopkins try to win the fight decisively, even when joe touched down in the first he sat back when he could have possibly tried to inflict further damage.
Joe was the more aggressive, outlanded, and outworked Hopkins. Hopkins scored a few good shots, put joe down, cuddled, fouled and pretended to be injured.
Only one winner my friend. and the judges agreed.
