GTA is one of my favorite series. I swear these games are therapeutic!

I will probably buy IV sometime later this summer when I have some free time

MGS is an incredible series. I think I have played all the more recent ones: from the PS version up to Snake Eater (that game was AMAZING)

Sadly I dont have a ps3, but I heard the new MGS might eventually come out on the 360 as well. Still, I dont think it will top the time I had with Snake Eater: jungle stealth, the sniper battle with that old dude and his parrot, and the final battle with what's her face in the field of flowers. (little foggy on these, i know im not being too specific.. haven't played the game for years!)

Yes the 3rd game was great. They had the best environments, and the battle with The End like you are talking about is classic. Little easter egg here, the first time you see The End, in the cutscene where you are at the first facility at the back on the hill and The End is rolled out on the wheel chair, you can break the cut scene, pull out your sniper rifle and kill him right there. Then you have to fight Ocelot guards in the jungle.

Also the battle with the Boss, and that one twisted you a bit emotionally because you see just why Big Boss turned against the US government and it was for their treatment of the Boss. A real gut punch that was.

Great game, the second was my favorite though.

I also know of a couple easter eggs with the end. One is you could go west to a little storage building at the start of the battle and his parrot would be there and you kill his parrot and he would say something about it. I think the whole game was littered with multiple easter eggs and other secrets, which made it even more absorbing.

The second one was with vamp and Raiden right? I think I read that Raiden is going to be in the upcoming mgs.

I love all of that conspiracy stuff with the government and arms companies. And Snake eater had this retro 1960s James Bond+Rambo thing going for it too. Everything, right down to the he psychedelic camo screen at the start to the close-quarters combat, to the story line and powerful ending was done with such intention and style that the game was like a work of art

Yes Raiden is in the new game, apparently he lost most of his body and is in a suit with just his head and spine in this ninja suit. Also Olga's baby will be a central figure in the story.

Completely agreed with the last style, it had everything. From the spaghetti western style Revolver shoot out with Ocelot to the crazy fight with The Sorrow in the river, crazy stuff.

Snake Eater was awesome but I liked MGS2 the best, just ahead of number 1 on PS. The storyline, the pot twists drove my head inside out. I had exams at the time and I was missing revision time so I could figure out the story for the second one. Insanity at it's highest level. Did anyone actually manage to figure out what they storyline was about in number 2? Also,I thought Slidus was the best character ever! I'm actually nerd when it comes to MGS as well Amat. I can't help it,I just want to know anything and everything about that game!

I haven't been able to read much about 4 other than it's probably the last one and Snake is getting old(the disease?) and saw Meryl?! Thought she was deaD?

Also,REVOLVER OCELOT/LIQUID IS THE MAN! BEST CHARACTER EVER!

El Gamo don't you have inane threads to create instead of coming on to my GTA thread and talking about how much you dislike GTA games, maybe you could instead create a thread called "I really like Metal Gear Solid but I don't know how to turn on my XBOX, any help guys?"

I'm gonna be too busy around the 29th to buy this, gonna have to wait a couple weeks. Eh.

Bastard.Funny though lol. Naa,GTA isn't bad at all,I jsut associated it with all the wannabee gangsters. Little kids with their pants pulled down to their knees, walking like they have somthing stuck up their ass play GTA where I'm from. It's the "cool" thing to do.

Anyway,MGS is much better. The thinking mans game And hey,my threads always have some practical usage!!!!I bet they help alot of other Saddoneans who are too shy to admit it! You watched Lost yet you traitor, new one is starting Thurs! Get up to date already"
