If Hopkins had`ve fought a clean fight then the low blows would have been out of order. But Hopkins wanted to fight rough and intimidate Calzaghe. If Calzaghe hadnt`ve roughed Hopkins up it would have given Hopkins extra confidence as Calzaghe would have appeared timid.
Calzaghe bullied Hopkins back and from the 10th round Hopkins was looking extremely uncomfortable.

I definitly agree... Calzaghe after begining to assert himself began to land with regularity... Although I hate his style and the way he slaps, he got a bunch of decent blows on my boy in the later rounds.

Hop did look uncomfortable once Joe found his groove. He did a good job keeping the energy up in an energy killer's ring.
