I can't debate the Ring's opinion on their p4p list as it is just that their collective opinion.

What is interesting to me is BoxRec's p4p list look at their top 10 (mind you this is done strictly by technical analysis)

    1. Floyd Mayweather Jr.
    2. Joe Calzaghe
    3. Kelly Pavlik
    4. Bernard Hopkins
    5. Israel Vazquez
    6. Manny Paquiao
    7. Juan Manuel Marquez
    8. Rafa Marquez
    9. Winky Wright
    10.Wladimir Klitschko

They don't even have Cotto in the top 10

Back to the topic at hand, I don't have a problem with Joe at #3 p4p, once Cotto has been around a little longer he will certainly dethrone him.

Yeah but that´s because Boxrec´s socalled objective rankings based on "technical analysis" are a complete joke. You are rewarded overly for activity via a point system and the end result are some very silly rankings. Living in Denmark, I remember back in the late 90´s Brian Nielsen claiming to be the number 3 heavyweight in the world because "the objective rankings" had him in that spot. He meant Boxrec and he was right...they had only Lewis and Holyfield ahead of him. That was the most ridiculous ranking I had ever seen and I have never been able to forget that.

Seems like a fair ranking to me...Bhop was 5 and Marquez was 4 ...Joe beat Bhop and Marquez just came off a loss so marquez moves down 1 and Joe with a win moves up 2.

Thats my way of thinking. I think #3 is about right. Certainly no lower than 4 IMO
