Brendan Ingle is a great trainer, notice once Naz took off he got whooped by MAB. Ingle has trained some good fighters Graham, Naz,and Nelson stick out. He's a total throwback, he has a good eye for talent, and uses boxers strengths and doesn't try to make them change to "his" style he uses what you have. IMO Naz tried to box with MAB too much and got beat for it, it wasn't the same Naz with Steward.

Seems very intresting havent heard from him before but i think everyone knows brendan, he must have some talent if brendan belives it. if this kid stays deticated and loyal to the ingles i guess hes got a bright future and thank GOD he hasnt got PETER BUCKLEY as his first pro fight as long as hes fighting people with half decent records and he stays active and boxes regularly he will have better records then the likes off kell brook boxing with the same person three times thats not good experience and other light welters whose record ive researched are unbeaten but not fought good oppisition and still when the full rounds looking nothing special these boxers are talked as top prospects if Ali fights good opponents i dont see why he wont get ranked above them so hopefully he wont go in against punch bags he will fight good opponents and do a job on them... and maybe he wont look bad fighting them but look good and put a show on.... read this link i found this a article on the bill Ali shah fought on..



Stubbs clubs Cover

by Jim WrightApr 23rd 2008 Shaw's Darren Stubbs put in a masterful performance to claim his first professional title by forcing a seventh round retirement from 57-fight veteran Simeon Cover at the Tara Leisure Centre, Shaw, Oldham on Sunday.
The new light-heavyweight champion threw a spanner in the works for Cover who was hoping to become a double masters champion after previously holding the super-middleweight strap. But Stubbs, cheered on by his hometown support, piled on the pressure to dominate from the front foot.
The opener saw both men try to get the upper hand, Cover had success with a big right hand as well as catching Stubbs on the way in with his trade mark right uppercut whereas Stubbs pressed forward with one-two combinations.
In the second Stubbs upped the ante by pushing Simeon back onto the ropes to unload his bombs. Cover showed a bit of the Mayweathers by using lots of shoulder in defence and giving his opponent little to aim at by setting his stance sideways on. Cover showed some slick movement to work off the ropes but Stubbs outlined his intentions by finding another set of ropes to pin his man to.
The pattern had been set for the fight, although Cover always looked dangerous with the big single shots. Cover managed to rally in the sixth and kept in the centre of the ring and took the round with his counterpunching. But he paid a heavy price for the extra effort and Stubbs capitalised in the seventh by unleashing a ferocious sustained attack that left Cover unable to answer the bell for the eighth round. Cover later stated that he had picked up a rib injury as early as the second round from a wicked shot to the body from the new champion. Stubbs leapt for joy when he realised the fight was over and now moves onto 16 (7) -4.
Another local lad Darren Askew had to knuckle down to some solid work that resulted in a 60-54 shut out against Nuneaton's busy journeyman Kristian Laight at welterweight. Askew, cheered on by Commonwealth champion Craig Watson at ringside made sure he was first to the punch, hooking off the jab to both head and body.
Even a bit of verbal goading from Laight failed to put Askew off of his stride and the Manchester man put together some flashy combinations to administer the shutout that moves him onto 3 (0)-1.
Mongolian-Manc Shinny Bayaar blasted away Ghanian Sumalia Badu with referee Keith Garner saving the visitor at 1-20 of the second round of their super-flyweight tear up. Bayaar, wearing full Mongolian battle gear for his ring entrance, was supported by stablemate and new WBU champion Choi Tseveenpurev who was rightly basking in the glory of the job he did on Derry Mathews a fortnight ago.
And Shinny looked like he was tapping into the success of his friend by blowing away Badu who was struggling to find any grip on the canvas. Cornerman Dominic Ingle had a go at cobbling during the break but the African looked like he was in rollerskates on ice dodging marbles. Not the best basis to try and repel an advancing Mongolian warrior!
Ingle-trained Blackburn debutant Ali Shah did everything he must have been dreaming about for his big day bar bring an early finish to his four-rounder against Birmingham based Kurdistani welterweight Amir Nadi. Shah looked a showman as he stuck out the jab from his wiry southpaw stance and slipped any replies with ease. In the second the newbie put a beautiful move together by slipping at close quarters and countering with a perfect timed reply that left Nadi down and in trouble. Shah couldn't find the shot to finish the bout but that was the only thing missing from his perfect start.
Some of the action was messy and degenerated into a wrestling match but a memorable bout for the many that had made the journey from Blackburn to cheer on their charge. One area Shah needs to work on is the post-fight celebration. He backflipped with joy after referee Steve Gray raised his arm in victory and nearly decapitated MC Mike Goodall in the process. If looks could kill Shah would have to settle for a record of 1-0!
There can't be many times in Pontefract's Peter Dunn's 109-fight career where he left the ring more aggrieved with a decision than after his six round light-middleweight contest against Manchester's David Murray.
Murray got the nod 58-56 on referee Garner's card but I had it 56-59 for Dunn. Peter clearly fancied the job from the first and took the fight to Murray. Dunn stuck to his task, probing forward behind left/right straight combinations. To be fair, Murray never gave up and wobbled Dunn in the fifth. The last saw Dunn tie his man up to nullify his chances as I'm sure he thought he had the points in the bag. Murray moves onto 3-2. Who'd be a referee? Or a visiting journeyman!
Ingle work in progress Muhsen Nasser looked the business with a convincing 60-56 victory over six-two's at light-middleweight against Walsall's Jimmy Beech. Nasser, switching stance and loading up looked good at long range. However he did occasionally drop his guard enough to invite beech in whom dually accepted. But the young Yemen Steel city stylist soon regrouped and found some nice angles to make sure he won and scored the maximum 10 points in every round. He's moving along nicely 16 (2)-0-1 and not looking far off ready to make the next step up.
