Did you people who accuse Wlad of "pawing" so God damn much ever get a glance of the Wlad-Brewster II fight?

If that is pawing then I don't ever want to get pawed

As for the swatting down on the defense that he does...it makes for a WIDE OPEN right cross see Ray Mercer and Chris Byrd and Derrick Jefferson and Calvin Brock and Charles Shufford.

Haye could potentially hurt Vlad, with his speed and Recklessness combined with some pop, but those same things could get him in serious trouble, and Vlad might knock him off the planet. I think Haye should take a fight or 2 at heavy before facing Vlad, but against some good fighters, not bums.

Obviously Haye wants the fast track to money and stardom, and I don't blame him, but IMO, he should have to beat at least 1 descent heavy before getting a shot.

Well he does paw a lot Lyle and you know that. He still has power and I think he has the bet jab in boxing but he does spend a lot of time with the left hand way out in front pawing. That's usually something he does early in fights and it's not a huge deal but if you're David Haye and you're looking for things to exploit, that's a good place to start.

And I know why he does chopping down but I doubt he does to Haye, to risky and not needed anyways because Haye puts the left hand at his hip.

    .....well there's your problem

I doubt he does that very long vs Wlad

You two make good point. And I'm afraid for that. I'm sure Haye's camp is aware of that already.

Wlad does paw, but he paws with his left hand though. He normally uses it as a range finder.

Well you don't have to watch Haye very long to see where his problems are. He might not have it so dramatically low but he's not going to hold them high either, he likes to roll with shots rather then block them and no matter how high his left is, Wlad is still going to be able to fire over the top with his right. It's just a matter of who makes the other pay first.

Wlad is going to have to put heat on Haye to win though, don't think he can afford to come in careful.

The Brewster II fight is a terrible example. Brewster shouldn't have been allowed in the ring - he was completely washed up and still Klitschko didn't impress. On medical grounds Brewster shouldn't have been in the ring due to all the eye problems he had, he took the fight as one last payday.

And when did beating a washed up hasbeen like Ray Merver suddenly become impressive. Derrick Jefferson was hardly a gifted fighter either - terrible stamina and far too easy to hit albeit entertaining.

I've just looked at Wlad's record and it is poor - he's just been beating faded hasbeens like Botha, Mercer, Brewster (rematch) etc and average Heavyweights like Monte Barrett while in between getting sparked twice.

Haye might be shouting his mouth off and probably realises that Klitschko is there for the taking. The man fights like a pacifist these days.(Wlad)
