Juan Lazcano......hmmm.....is getting KNFO!!!
Lazcano was picked for this fight to be a victim, the only way I will be impressed is if Hatton puts Lazcano away. Lazcano has reach and height on Hatton, but he lacks the skill to keep Hatton outside. Juan is durable, but he's been battered into submission before (by Golden Johnson).
Lazcano's style is a perfect one for Hatton to look good against. If Hatton loses this it's time to consider retirement.
the guy isnt even 30 yet and your already calling for him to call it a day if he goes to 43-2??
I agree if hatton does get beat it`ll probably mean his best days are behind him and he should perhaps take some time off from the sport to reflect on what to do next.
But thats the very worst case scenario, think most sane fight fans will tell you this probably wont be about if hatton wins but how!!

All I'm saying is if he loses to Lazcano at this stage in his career, things are looking bad and he will have shown his head isn't back in the game, and if that's the case, well maybe hanging up the gloves isn't a bad idea.
It would be rough for him to negotiate a title shot, and it isn't as if Lazcano is the best at any skill, not in power, not in speed, not in defense, not in endurance, plus he has 15+ months of ring rust to shake off. Furthermore, Lazcano is not rated in the top 15 of any major sanctioning body.

Hattons already aluded to the fact that he is coming down the home stretch of his boxing career and entering his final 4-5 fights, he also has stated he wants to sell as many tickets as a promoter as he has a fighter.
The fact of the matter is though that hatton is one of the very all time great light welterweights that will go down as one of britains greatest ever despite what anyone else wants to tell you.
He has dominated this division for a good few years now, been a world champion at welterweight and has dominated every opponent bar one that he has ever fought.
Hope to god you lot dont start blowing out the candle on ricky hatton just yet as he still has a lot more to offer the sport!!
