I voted 4 witter, but only if the fight hapens soon,Witters getting on is'nt he? If this fight happens later rather than sooner,Hatton might get him on the slide, just get a Des on his workrate.

I think Witter wins! But it won't be a walkover! I just hope this fight happens

I must say firstly i hate Witter and i am a fan of Hatton. However even from the time Ricky was on the up , ive always thought the clash of styles is firmly in the favor of Witter. Its a bit like Oscar couldnt beat Mosley , Honeyghan v Starling etc. It doesnt mean Witter is the better all round fighter it just means ( in my opinion ) he stops Hatton.
PS. If it does happen i will be hoping Hatton KO'S Witter.
Result : Witter TKO's Hatton in 5

In the Eamonn Magee fight Hatton revealed that he was a fighter possessed of great mental strength and resiliance.
In the Judah fight we saw Junior is not.
Messy, horrible fight with Ricky stopping Junior late because of attrition.

Hatton either UD or late stoppage.
Witter tends to fold under real pressure.
Bottled it against Judah, almost folded against N'Dou, Kotelnik and Lynes.
All good fighters, but they don't bring anywhere near what Ricky Hatton at 140 brings to the table.
Hatton would be too much for him.....unless Witter somehow caught him early, but then again Hatton's chin is very solid at 140.
Hatton UD or late stoppage.![]()

That's a ridiculously unfair comparison.
Magee failed to win the British, European and unsurprisingly never even fought for a "genuine" world title.
Hatton fought Magee in his 29th fight, it was the 7th defence of his (laughable) WBU title having 2 years previous been British champion.
Zab Judah was the unbeaten IBF "world" champion who was ALL the rage at the time of facing Witter.
Witter fought him on a weeks notice, had never been past 8 rounds and never even fought for a British title - let alone mixed in European or world class.
To make it perfectly clear - Hatton was the favourite over Magee. Witter was a HUMONGOUS underdog![]()

I'd rep you if I could. Hatton's 'work rate' is one of the biggest myths going around at the moment. His work rate has been well down since the Kostya fight (compubox proves it) and unless you're a past your best veteran out of your natural weight he is unlikely to take you out with one shot. Which is why I'd pick Hatton to make it awkward and ugly til the late rounds when Witter should find his range, maybe not a KO since Ricky should be able to take the punishment at 140 if he has anything left.

Hatton wins by late KO, Witter would make Hatton look clumsy in the early part of the fight due to his style but Hatton will wear him down with pressure and body shots and will eventully get the KO late on no question.
Nothings Sweeter Than Sugar
Hatton needs to silence the doubters by beating Witter which I think he will do on an UD and then give Collazo that rematch.

I'd like to see the Witter match, but the Collazo rematch will never happen.
Collazo proved awkward for Ricky and very nearly proved his undoing.
However, since that night collazo has stalled, not looked impressive and been beaten convincingly by the Sugar man.
Not financially beneficial, which is all that matters.
