I think Hatton is a terrific fighter.

Your comparison is rubbish. The circumstances are completely different. Look over it for yourself if you don't believe me.

I saw Witter intimidated out of the fight.

I saw the very presence of Judah preventing Junior from exerting himself, out of fear for his safety. I saw Judah allow the fight to be taken because he was afraid.

I saw Hatton down in the first round, rocked several times outboxing Magee for a win.

Right. And if Hatton was matched with Judah on a weeks notice (laughable ) you would have seen Hatton lying in the middlle of the ring unconcious.

That "week" is one of the greatest myths in boxing.
When I first heard that story it was seven weeks.
Then Judah lost, the Witter fans got a little embarassed so it became 5 weeks.
Then a Hatton match became a focal point, it's speculated that Junior had 3 weeks to prepare.
Now it's become a week

Tell me this; before the fight did Junior and his trainer claim they were ready for the fight? or did they say; "well we only had a week to train so we're gonna get beat"

Furthermore, since Witter claims he's "a;ways in shape" for fights, as he did when lobbying to fight Hatton in May, should he not have been in shape anyway for the Judah fight?
Or was Junior lying

You know as well as I do Fenster, that Hatton would never have got into the ring on anything shorter than 3 months notice, not only because of his lefestyle and his essential weight shedding training camps, but also because Warren was protecting him like a star and calculated every fighht he ever managed him in.

Jason Rowlands, who was set to face Judah, pulled out with about 9 days to go. Witter took the fight at short notice because of money. Simple as.

As you said - Hatton was protected. Witter was not. Witter had to graft his way to the top. A boxing man as yourself should admire the likes of Witter, donny.
