I am not dissing boxing. I don't belong to an mma board. I love boxing, but just saying Lyle's argument means he turns a blind eye to one's shortcomings, not that they don't exist.

I love boxing, I've immersed my life in it. I live it and I wouldn't be me without boxing.
But competing in boxing has made me respect mma.

They're both combat sports, both risk injury, in mma to the limbs, and body primarily, in boxing to the cranium primarily, both sports require you to dehumanise yourself. Both deserve respect.
