My brand new computer screen says out of range and goes all blank for no reason at all. The wires are OK so do not know why it does it. Any help appreciated.

Make sure your resolution is not set to high and your refresh rate is set to 60 hz. The settings are in your display properties.
Your Monitor is having trouble with the video signal.
