all this talking crap on MMA... geeze.... i love MMA, its great, its as close as street fighting as you can get without the felonys...
but boxing is classic and the sport of gentlement as they say.
both are equaly as exciting to watch. there are boring MMA fights, and boring Boxing matchs, as are there amazing MMA fight and Amazing boxing matchs...
in my opinion boxing is much harder to do.... for me. MMA just takes brute streangth and firce anger.
Boxing take so much thought and planing in a instance.

ok PS. i have a trible tattoo.. so shush.... they should just change then name to MMA fighter tattoos now.

Narcoleptic Pug, you may not know it yet, but Lyle hates you.

Anyways, I think this stuff peaked at UFC 71 when MMA was at it's peak as far as mainstream press goes with Rampage - Chuck. It has really proved to be irrelevant as neither sport is hurting the other. UFC gets no press on ESPN anymore and boxing still occasionally does and that's all boxing fans can ask for. UFC has had decent ratings but they rarely compete with a big boxing card although I think the last UFC happened on Hopkins-Calzaghe night. And I haven't seen the buys for that yet but I doubt either was effected by the other.

So garbage article, this issue is dead. Otherwise it's all just dumb stereotypes. Most people look at boxing with the stereotype that they are all Mike Tyson or Muhammad Ali, which is a much worse stereotype I think.
