Yes hard for chicks to pull off if they want to avoid looking like a whore....some of them fully embrace their whoreness.

narcolepticpug, I've tried really hard to give MMA a chance....I even watched a little last night to see if maybe I was too hard on MMA and their fans and what did I see A foot stomp....not only can you roll around on the ground trying to lock up something called a "rear naked choke" or lie on your back and kick at someone like a turtle who has been turned on it's back and can't roll over but you can stomp on your opponent's foot....I thought this was Mixed Martial Arts Since when did the Three Stooges have a martial art? Maybe next time we can see some of this ....

I'm not keeping other people from liking MMA, I'm just keeping them from telling me how great it is.

I think the people in MMA are ridiculous they always talk about the 8 or 10 oz. pillows that boxers use.I simply say that's because they can punch. Many will say there's all types of fighting Jiu Jitsu,Tai Bo,Kung Pow Chicken what the F$$K ever else they do. Again I will say sit down and watch this it's all the same thing WRESTLING AND PUNCHING.The days of Joyce Grace are long gone everyone is into bodybuilding, looking good for the camera, and yes Lyle my god those F**king chincy @$$ tribal tattoo's.I can easily have one of you guys follow me with a camera foloow me out to a bar make an octagon a beat the be-devil out of some pour sapp and tote how much more skill is involved with MMA than boxing. Now for christ's sake they have added yet again another wrinkle it's Yama pit fighting.THe octagon wasn't good enough now we need a Yama. WHAT THE F**K is a Yama.

Whilst the talent pool isn't as deep for MMA yet as it is in boxing there are some exceptionally talented fighters at the top of the game.

Guys like Anderson Silva, Cung Lee, B J Penn and George St Pierre are as talented as anybody in boxing.

The potential skill set is much much higher in MMA and how you can say all the fighting styles are the same is completely beyond me.

There is a world of difference from say the strong stand up and take down defense style of Lydell, to the awesome striking and submission skills of Anderson Silva to the amazing leg kicks, spinning back fists and throws of Cung Lee and the super slams from Rampage Jackson.

MMA has advanced in the last couple years to the point where some of my favourite fights of the past 24 months have been in MMA rather than boxing.

Even the recent ultimate fighter winners like Nate Diaz and Mac Danzig demonstrate a superb and wide ranging skill set and let's be clear they would absolutely own any boxer of the same weight in a real fight.

I love boxing but I also love MMA. As JT Tock will tell you I used to be hater of the highest order but the more I've got into the sport the more I appreciate all of the different skill sets required to compete at the top level.

And I'd rather watch George St Pierre, Cung Lee, Rampage Jackson, Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz, Fedor Emilianenko, Randy Couture etc over Bernard Hopkins any day of the week.

All I can say is I respect your opinion but you won't change mine or others, but what I can say is I've fought many of these so called tough guy MMA people. The most recent was a striker who's record is 10-0 with 8 K.O.'s in the super heavyweight division. He decided to work on his boxing skills a bit more and was strutting around the gym like he owned it.Not too talk too much S**T but that guy left with a bloody nose and cut's under both eye's and I haven't seen him since. All I know his name is Brad.

HAHAHAHAHA.. i saw that fight last night. and i thought, damn stompin on his foot what a great idea. and by the way everyone knows MMA has nothing to do with mixed martial arts anymore. its just about the first person the knock the otherone out no mater how ya do it.

Which is why Kimbo Slice is now a superstar.....way to work it out MMA. The next step towards international crackhead fights

....and yes I've heard Kimbo doesn't do drugs and loves his kids and blah blah blah...I'm just saying he doesn't have the technical ability to box and therefore he chose MMA and to everyone's amazement he's able to have a ZZ Top beard and take punches from the limp wristed sissies that try to "strike" him.....maybe they should stomp on his foot

"Ow......hey man, that was uncalled for! Ouch....who stomps on a foot? Really? I'm trying to fight you!"

"Oh, a wise guy eh....knuk, knuk, knuk" (finger poke to the eyes)
