tnx for the updates all. I actually stayed home tonight instead of going to a bonfire with a bunch of girls hoping to find a free live link to this fight.

Ya, I know, my priorities are seriously messed up.

    Poor Millie De La Hoya.

It must have seemed like a pretty good deal to marry Oscar at first. Nice face, lots of money.

I imagine the marriage is now controlled by Oscar's constant threat of lawsuits if she goes public.

    Round 8
This fight has fallen into a bit of a pattern, Oscar stalking forward and Forbes only able to offer an occasional jab as a deterrant. Oscar is really looking for Forbes to make a mistake on the offensive end to make him pay, you could see how much he is trying to catch him leaning or jumping in. More showboating from Forbes as I took a break to change it to the Hornets game.

    Round 9

Forbes looks a bit refreshed and glances a couple early combos off the gloves of Oscar but nothing lands. Still, Forbes isn't going away in there and he has weathered every storm possible. Oscar lands a good lead left hook halfway through the round and Forbes bangs his gloves for Oscar to bring it on, Oscar abliges and sneaks another left hook in there. Oscar coming forward with the jab once more but Forbes is very much on his toes. De La Hoya isn't going to the body much anymore but it's pretty obvious this one is dragging to decision.

Good clean fight with no holding at all. I have Delahoya winning every round but it is somewhat competitive. And no holding.

    Round 10

Oscar out pawing with the jab, shoots a right that lands over the top. The right that hasn't landed much this fight. They go shoulder to shoulder for a bit and Oscar forces a pair of left uppercuts through the guard of Forbes. De La Hoya hooking off the jab now and really pouring on. He dives in on Forbes with an uppercut and Forbes is hurt, Oscar shoe shines the guard of Forbes a bit before Stevie comes back with some more. Oscar looks very energized here late, maybe this is the statement he wanted to make. Maybe Oscar's biggest moment of the fight happened there with that uppercut.

    Round 11
De La Hoya is so much bigger and he stands even taller in these late rounds, it's a big size gap. Oscar not throwing much early and and Forbes doing a bit of pitter pat works, lands a nice left hook under Oscar's elbow to the body but no power behind it. Steve is standing right in there with Oscar and even backing him up this round in a round similar to round 5 early. De La Hoya now jabbing a bit more and Oscar moves to the outside now in the final minute. Oscar pumping out a constant jab, very nice it has Forbes trapped on the ropes and Oscar gets in a series of nice shots on the chin of Forbes from a distance. Forbes is Iron Man though and doesn't go down.

Forbes is gonna make it the distance. His next fight will be at the Alaska State Fair.

Imagine what Cotto would do to Oscar's face

Did Forbes say 'what do you mean, No stoole'? standing between rounds.

The announce teams reasoning sounds like this. There almost blaming Forbes for not getting TKO'd and walking in as opposed to Asking why DeLAHoya is not Taking and inflicting the KO ?? The crowd boo's about 35 sec mark.

Mayweather will welt up and beat Oscar bad..........And I Am no fan Of Mayweather!

    Round 12
Jeff Mayweather tells Forbes that he needs to throw caution to the wind. Forbes takes the advice and fires an inside combination early. Oscar isn't going to be outdone late though and begins pumping and landing his jab. What a great jab. Forbes gets hit again on the ropes, walks them off and eggs the crowd to cheer. Oscar back to moving forward and now lands a left hook coming forward, very impressive. Oscar is really opening up this last round, he's throwing a lot of punches and he's choosing them well with a more active Forbes. Forbes lands what maybe is his best punch of the fight with a right hand in the center of the ring. De La Hoya isn't phazed and comes right back with the jab, pressing Forbes on to the ropes. They trade in the center in the ring to end the fight.

120-108 Oscar on all cards. Fans are cheering like they are surprised.
