Interestingly if you dehydrate badly it takes four days to Hydrate properly. There are more accidents now with weigthins the day before than when same day weigthins were the norm, funnily theres a lot less bouts work that one out.

Very dangerous dehydration to make weight, the fluid that protects the brain from the skull is depleted causing more chance of severe injury on impact.. it take at least 48 hours for that fluid to replenish leaving the fighter vulnerable to increased chance of being knocked out and worse.

I like the rules which some sanctioning bodies have put in place that makes a fighter weight in at different cycles during the preparation period , to insure that fighters are within the weight limit via proper diet and work ethic. . I’d like to see more of these type weight maintenance programs instituted across the board.
