Two things I'm certain of after watching the ODLH-Forbes fight

1. ODLH still can't beat Floyd.
2. ODLH should never step in the ring with Miguel Cotto.

While a lot of people think Oscar looked good in his tuneup, I'm thinking exactly the opposite. Oscar IMO looked weight-drained and slow. If he plans to truly fight Floyd at 147 like he claims he will, I really think that Floyd could even stop ODLH. ODLH looked like he was uncomfortable with any type of body work that Forbes put in. Also ODLH threw some good combinations but they were most shoe shine crowd pleasing flurries. Forbes landed the cleaner, more effective punches all night. At this point, I don't think Oscar has the power to knock out either Floyd or Cotto at 147. And while he did look looser than he usually does it's because he's in there with a guy that is much smaller than him, can't knock him out, can't outbox him, and basically had no shot to begin with. This is what everyone knew from the get-go. He basically was all offense, if he goes in there loose like that against Floyd it's got gonna work because Floyd will pick him apart and if he tries that against Cotto, Cotto will brutally punish him. So he will go back to being tense like usual and he'll get tired like usual. I really think that ODLH best days are behind him and he needs to retire and focus on promoting and developing his younger fighters.

I love Cotto, I'm a big fan, but he ain't "brutally punishing" Oscar Delahoya. He's damn lucky he got the nod against Mosley, honestly, and by the end he was retreating from "Sugar" Shane. Oscar, in my opinion is a bigger hitter than Mosley, particularly with the left hook, his chin is very solid if not great, and he could knock Miguel Cotto OUT. Seriously.

It'd be a great fight and I'd go with Cotto, but it'd be by decision, and a close one at that.

No way will Oscar beat Cotto now, prime Oscar maybe but not this version guaranteed. Cotto stepping in with Margarito, and just beaten Zab and Mosley he is fighting dangerous fighters and is active. Oscar cannot live with Cotto now.

Oscar looked very good for a 35 year old who fights about once a year, but I don't see how he beats the top PFP fighter in Mayweather, or a Top 5 PFP guy like Cotto.

He just doesn't have the speed to deal with Mayweather, and a quick defensive style has always given him fits, even when he was in his prime.

I think a fight with Cotto would be competitive and entertaining, but I don't think he beats Cotto.

The two things I noticed about Oscar was his improved jab and improved fitness.

The Forbes fight was far better prep for Floyd than the Mayorga fight was 1st time round. Oscar wont be ringrusty in Sept and will be fresh off going against that style. He wasnt last time.

I still dont think it will be enough though . Floyd on another close points decision.
