I would not go that far....And I also would not pick Hatton over a Prime Castillo....He beat a shop worn version that was obvious did not really want the fight to begin with....I liike Ricky but he is not as good as you are stating....Many guys in the game that would beat him P4P.....Even at 140 I still say Malignaggi outpoints him....

Floyd and the ref tag teamed on Ricky, thats why he lost. He'll be back though.

He lost because Mayweather is a superior fighter in every aspect.

At elbowing and headbutt's I agree, check out Danny's vids he made, Floyd is "Counterfit Money".

I like Hatton, but he got wooped by Floyd. Nothing to be ashamed of, everyone else that has fought floyd has lost.

Every fighter cheats. Hatton cheats, last time I checked holding was as illegal as elbowing and butting. I also seem to recall Hatton landing a well-placed shot to Tszyu's balls, among his many other infractions.
None of that changes the fact that PBF is better than Hatton in every facet of the game. I like Hatton, I was hoping against all logic and reason that he could beat PBF, but if they fought 10 times, PBF would win 10 times, regardless of who the ref was.

I disagree, Floyd only won by cheating and the dodgy ref, if Hatton wouldn't have had the point took off then he wouldn't have started rushing in getting tagged so easy, he lost his focus after the point deduction and yet the shot never even landed

So it's the ref's fault he lost focus?

Part of being a great fighter is mental composure (otherwise Zab would probably be on the P4P lists), Hatton displayed a clear defficiency in that department in the PBF fight. Floyd out-thought Hatton and out-fought him (didn't mean for that to rhyme).
How would Hatton have beaten PBF? Hatton looked good early, but so have a good deal of Floyd's opponents. Mayweather often starts slow in order to adapt to his opponents style. Hatton is smaller and slower than PBF, with a weaker chin, and he is less able to adapt. In addition to the other inequalities between the fighters; the odds were against him from the beginning.
Have you ever considered that it is Hatton's own fault that he has a reputation for being a dirty, hold and hit fighter? It's not like people developed that notion on their own, Hatton has demonstrated it time and again.
Floyd won by knocking Hatton down with a left-hook and by jumping on him when he was hurt, I'm not sure how that's cheating. Another part of being a complete fighter is knowing what to do when your bell is wrung, something else that Hatton demonstrated he was unable to do. As I've said, I like Hatton, but he's always going to be a step below PBF skill-wise, that's nothing to be ashamed of, so is every other fighter today.

That says a lot about Hatton. Great fighters don't lose there focus. So it's no surprise he did

hopefully we will see on the 20th september de la hoya mayweather undercard :P haha how good would that be unfortunetly hatton can top any stage in the world so it wont happen. i think paulie is dangerous for anyone but i think hatton would beat both castillo and corrales with his ability to man handle people at 140. be long hard fights with both though, castillo espeshcialiy (cnt spell lol) corrales mayb 6 or 7 rounds

I don't know about all that...The version of Castillo that fought PBF the first time I can not see Hatton beating. The versions of Corrales and Castillo in their first fight is 1 are ones I don't see Hatton beating either

    Honest question:

Do you see Corrales or Castillo being that effective (e.g. as good as they were in the fights you mentioned) at 140? Personally I dont really see it, and I would probably give Hatton a decent chance against both - even if the versions of them that you mentioned would be better than Hatton p4p. [Did that make any sense at all?]
